I looked at my feet and suddenly didn’t recognize

Who I was, Where I was going.

What direction were they taking me in?

“Turn back, turn back!” my Heart cried;

But they whispered in response,

“Don’t worry about the next step you take, but rather how you will respond to it.”

You’re loved – No,

You’re adored.

I’m  sorry for all the things that have hurt you,

My Precious Fire

I’ll start a fire.

It will burn within my bones.

I’ll fan the flames

Till the warmth reaches my soul.

Storms of Love

Running

Away from my fears tonight.

My, my – I am good enough.

Falling

Into these storms of love;

But now, I need stamina.

Confidence

Walking through fire cause I’m fireproof

Reaching for stars cause I’ve got nothing else to do.

Falling in love cause I’ve got love to spare.

Loving myself cause my beauty is rare.

She’s Brave

She can’t stand in the rain;

A drop from a clouded eye.

But she won’t just stand and cry;

Because she can get through this night.

Stronger Now

I had given up – I was down and weak.

I didn’t know I had the strength in me.

Now I stand tall, take back my ground.

So step aside; I’m stronger now.

 

Gills

Hard to breathe; I forgot how.

The waves carrying me deeper beneath the capsized ship,

I held my breath for as long as I could – but in the end . . .

It turns out I had gills after all.

Clear Identity
