Eternal Love, Eternal Grief

She finally stopped running, rain dripping from her hair and face.

She had run out into the downpour after receiving the words.

“He is dead.”

Her father had gotten into some trouble with some dealers;

A shooter found her in her home.

She struggled for her life until he came

And took a shot for her.

The killer ran.

Her first love – her only love – had been killed

In an effort to save her life.
