Moonlight

Moonlight.

Perceived as light, but truly you are a reflection.

Having an effect on my life,

Radiantly coercing the trees to shimmer.

Your glow frightening away the pitch

That once overtook night – the echoes of

Black that made silence boom.

You hold me in your beams,

Beckoning me to leave the shadows

-Which I do willingly.

You have helped me to get through the night

Which is all I know.

The howls and chirps haunt me.

I wait for morning when I can

See the One who has allowed

Light to Shine through You.
